Installation Instructions

Step 1: Site Preparation and Post Layout

• Clear the fence line of all vegetation and debris.
• Mark the location of all terminal posts (end, corner, and gate posts) using stakes.
• Mark the location of all line posts. For this project, posts should be spaced at approximately 6.3 meters apart.

Step 2: Post Installation

• Use a post hole digger to excavate holes for all posts. Holes for line posts should be 25 cm in diameter and 70 cm deep. Holes for terminal posts should be 30 cm in diameter and 75 cm deep to support additional tension.
• Place the posts in their respective holes. Ensure all terminal posts are braced with brace bands and concrete to prevent movement.
• Use a level to ensure all posts are perfectly plumb (vertical).
• Fill the holes with concrete, sloping the top away from the post to allow for water runoff. Allow the concrete to cure for a minimum of 24-48 hours.

Step 3: Top Rail and Tension Wire Installation

• Attach rail ends to the terminal posts using brace bands.
• Slide the top rail through the rail ends on the terminal posts. Secure the rails together with rail splices.
• Use tension wire at the bottom of the fence line, stretching it tightly between the terminal posts and securing it to the line posts with ties.

Step 4: Fabric Installation

• Unroll the chain link mesh next to the fence line.
• Attach the mesh to the first terminal post using tension bands and a tension bar. The tension bar should be woven through the mesh and secured to the post with the bands.
• Stretch the mesh along the fence line, connecting it to each line post with wire ties every 30 cm.
• Once the mesh reaches the next terminal post, use a fence stretcher tool to pull the mesh taut.
• Secure the stretched mesh to the terminal post with tension bands and another tension bar.

Step 5: Gate Installation and Final Inspection

• Install gate hinges on the gate posts and hang the gates.
• Ensure the gates swing freely and the latching system works correctly.
• Perform a final inspection of the entire fence line, checking for any loose ties, sagging mesh, or other issues.
• Install post caps on top of all posts to prevent water from entering and causing rust.
